service.

PLEASE INTRODUCE YOURSELF:
We encourage new members to introduce themselves to the group by
sending an email with the following information:
Please describe your current work, and how it relates to international
service-learning. Do you have a particular interest in or experience
with international service-learning? What are you hoping to learn more
about in regard to this topic?
Our GOALS for this listserv are as follows:
1. Connect colleagues from around the country who share an interest
in international service-learning;
2. Encourage dialogue;
3. Exchange/establish a set of best practices; and
4. Expand the dialogue beyond the listserv (our big picture goal)
The GUIDELINES for this listserv are as follows:
1. This is intended to be a community of professionals, including faculty,
study abroad staff, community service and service-learning staff, as well
as other interested professionals. We ask that you remain respectful of
and open to different perspectives and viewpoints.
2. The main purpose of this listserv is to be a resource for asking
questions, seeking advice, and sharing ideas; this is not intended to be a
space used to advertise programs.
3. Please be courteous and polite in your postings; remember that your
postings will be sent to the entire listserv; try to be as concise as
possible with your postings; and keep in mind that your postings can
easily be forwarded on to others.
We are hopeful that this listserv will spark rich discussion about a range
of issues related to international service-learning, an exciting field that
requires the cross-discipline expertise of service-learning and
international education professionals, as well as representatives from
international nonprofits and NGOs. We look forward to hearing your
thoughts!
